Alma Nungarrayi Granites

Alma Nungarrayi Granites is a Warlpiri woman and lives at Yuendumu, Northern Territory (300 kilometres north west of Alice Springs).

Alma was born in 1955 and is the daughter of Paddy Japaljarri Sims and Bessie Nakamarra Sims. Growing up at 4 Miles, Alma and her sisters travelled by foot to school in Yuendumu where she learned to read and write in both English and Warlpiri.

Alma and her husband have 3 daughters and many grandchildren.
